Camp Whitcomb/Mason is located about 35 miles west of Milwaukee and 50 minutes east of Madison near Hartland, Wisconsin. USAT Triathalon Sanctioned

USA Triathlon

USA Triathlon sanctions the Camp Whitcomb/Mason Triathlon. All participants must be current USAT members or purchase a one-day ($10) license. All established USAT rules will be in effect and will be strictly enforced. You will be required to show your USAT membership card and/or a photo id at packet pick-up. No ID — No Race.

Eligibility

Registration is open to anyone 15 years or older capable of safely completing a triathlon of equal or greater distance in the allotted time. If registrant is under 18 years of age, parental permission is required. Race limit: 530 registrations

The Course

Cycling and running gear must be placed in transition areas located about 1/8 mile apart.

Swim: 1/3 mile lake swim. Start at 8:00 a.m. in waves, 3 minutes apart. Camp issued swim caps are mandatory.

Bike: 22 mile bike loop course loops through the Kettle Moraine. Helmets are mandatory. Map of Bike Route

Run: 3.1 mile looped course, 2 water stations. Map of Run Course

Timing

The race is timed with the ChampionChip Electronic Timing System. Participants are required to wear a ChampionChip, strapped on their ankle, throughout the race. Chips will be collected at the end of the Finish Zone. If you have your own ChampionChip, it must be listed on the registration form.

Awards

Awards are presented to the first overall female and male winners; top three finishers in designated age groups, Clydesdale, Athena, and relay team categories.

Entry Fees

	Thru 3/1/08	3/2/08 - 7/25/08	After 7/25/08 Registration & packet pick-up: Saturday, August 9th 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. & race day: 6:00-7:30am. There is an additional fee for race weekend registration. Race limit: 530 athletes All proceeds go directly to Camp Whitcomb/Mason to assist in providing needed services to youth.
